    Mardi Gras creation by Chef Tom Houle/Naman's Catering
    Chef Tom’s Grasshopper Moon pie Cheese Cake

    1 Cup Heavy Cream
    ½ Tbsp Gelatin
    1 Cup Sugar
    ½ tsp Mint extract
    1 Drop Green Food Color
    1 lb Cream Cheese, room temperature
    2 Full Size Mint Moon pies
    1 9” Graham Cracker Pie Shell
    2 Cups Whip Cream or Cool Whip

    Combine heavy cream, gelatin, sugar, mint extract & food color in small sauce pan. Heat slowly till sugar & gelatin is dissolved. Place cream cheese in mixing bowl and slowly stir in the warm liquid. Whip till smooth. Cut moon pies into small cubes and fold into pie mixture. Pour mixture into pie shell. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Top with whip cream or Cool Whip.
