    Stove Top Turkey Casserole

    6 ounces uncooked wide egg noodles
    2 cups cooked, diced turkey
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    4 ounces sour cream
    2 ounces shredded cheddar cheese (about ½ cup)
    1 small can diced green chilies
    1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
    ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
    ? teaspoon ground pepper (or to taste)

    Cook noodles as follows:
    Bring 4 quarts water to a boil in a large pan. Add 1 teaspoon salt.
    Gradually add noodles and bring back to a boil.
    Boil 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not overcook .
    Drain in a strainer.

    Place cooked noodles in a medium saucepan.

    Add the rest of the ingredients and heat on very low heat just until heated through. Stir once or twice while heating.
