    Caramel Apple Dessert

    1 cup brown sugar
    2/3 cup Canola oil (or other cooking oil)
    2 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    4 cups of chopped apples
    1/4 cup flour
    16 ounces of caramel candies

    Recipe



    Cut the apples into small pieces and set aside in a mixing bowl.
    Unwrap the caramel candies and cut each one into four pieces and set
    aside.

    Measure the brown sugar, cooking oil, flour, oatmeal, salt and baking
    soda into a medium-sized mixing bowl and stir with a fork until well
    combined. Remove 1 1/2 cups and set aside. Press the remaining flour
    and oatmeal mixture into an ungreased 9x13 pan.

    Mix 1/4 cup of flour with the apples and sprinkle over the crust in
    the pan. Sprinkle the caramel candy pieces over the apples. Sprinkle
    the reserved 1 1/2 cups of crust mixture over the caramel and apples.

    Bake at 375 for 40 to 45 minutes.
