    Lighter version of original recipe from my grandmother

    Ingredients

    1 cup salted butter
    6 Tbsp powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 cups all purpose white flour
    1 cup chopped pecans
    Optional powdered sugar for dusting



    Directions
    Mix 6 Tbsp powdered sugar with 1 cup softened butter and vanilla in large mixing bowl til smooth. Stir in 2 cups flour and 1 cup chopped pecans until soft dough forms.
    Roll dough into 1 inch balls and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
    Cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.
    Makes 60 small tea cakes
