Indian Meat Balls
3/4 cup plain panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 lb ground beef (or lamb)
2 tbs minced fresh ginger
1 egg
1/2 cup coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp ground pepper
1 Tbs salt
1/4 cup peanut butter (optional)
1 tbs chili flakes (optional)
Combine bread crumbs and milk. Mix and set aside for 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl combine all remaining ingredients: ground meat, ginger, egg, coconut, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, pepper, salt, peanut butter and chili flakes.
Add milk and bread crumbs to the meat mixture
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until they’re all incorporated.
Preheat large fry pan on medium / medium-low heat.
Form meat into teaspoon size meat balls and cook until done (about 7 minutes per side).
