    AMOUNTS: INGREDIENTS:

1 cup soy sauce, low salt
    1/3 cup water
    8 tbsps. sugar
    3 tbsps. green onions, minced
    4 tsps. garlic, fresh, minced
1 piece ginger, (1/4 inch long) peeled & chopped
    1 pinch crushed red pepper
4 each beef loin, sirloin steaks, cut about 3/4 inch thick
    (8 to 10 ounce portions)

    METHOD:

Whisk all ingredients together (except the steaks) in a small bowl.
Reserve half the marinade, and pour the remaining marinade over the steaks in a utility pan. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours, turning the steaks 3 to 4 times during the process.
Place reserved marinade into sauce pot and reduce over medium heat until syrupy. Reserve and keep warm.
For each serving: Broil 1 steak to desired doneness. Plate steak and ladle 1 ounce teriyaki sauce over steak. Garnish with 1 tbsp. diced green onions and a pinch of toasted sesame seeds.

    SERVES: 4
