    Blueberry Turnovers

    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup chilled butter
    5 Tablespoons cold water (or more if necessary)
    1-2 cups thick blueberry jam or prepared pie filling

    Recipe



    Combine flour and salt in bowl. Cut in butter using 2 forks until all flour is just blended to form pea-sized chunks. Sprinkle with water, one tablespoon at a time. Toss lightly with fork until dough forms a ball. Divide dough in two parts. Roll one ball of dough into circle. Using lid from Crisco can or lid from 8oz. Cool Whip container, cut dough into 6” rounds. Spoon 2 tablespoons thick blueberry jam or pie filling in center of each round. Moisten edges with water and fold in half. Using a fork dipped in flour, crimp edges.

    Continue making turnovers until all dough is used.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 425° for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Makes 10 – 12 turnovers.
