    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    1 pound Raw ground turkey, chicken, lamb, buffalo,
    beef or eggs (5 parts muscle meat to one part organ meat)
    2 Ounces Grated raw vegetable: zucchini, carrots, yellow squash,
    broccoli, green beans, peas, parsley or cooked winter squash,
    yams, pumpkin, or other vegetables. Leafy greens should be
    steamed. No onions.
    2 Tablespoons Oatmeal, barley flakes, rice, millet, quinoa, spelt, rye.
    6-8 Ounces water or lo-fat, lo salt chicken broth
    2 Tablespoons Flax seed oil, cod liver oil, hempseed oil or a combination.
    1 Tablespoon cat vitamin/mineral supplement
    1 Pinch Feline Enzymes sprinkled over food just before serving



    Ready, set, cook!



    Because cats' digestive system is designed to eat "whole prey" it is good to serve your cat not only "muscle" meat but also organ meat in about the ratio it would be found in a live animal (5:1). If your cat balks at this new diet try adding a little "Bribe Food" such as sardines, anchovies, Earth's best chicken or turkey baby food, canned mackerel, tuna or salmon or cooked chicken or turkey. Be sure the vegetables are grated very finely. (In case you are interested in 'why vegetables' a cat in the wild will also eat the contents of the small animal's stomach.) The grains should be well cooked to a gruel-like consistency in either water or lo-cal, lo-salt chicken or other broth. Despite human antithesis to cod liver oil cats rather like it.
