    Southern Comfort really adds a punch to this chicken and sausage recipe. If you do not like to add alcohol to your food, try using chicken broth instead.


    List of Ingredients




    3 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 tablespoon minced garlic
    4 hot and spicy chicken sausages
    3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    6 cloves garlic, shaved or thinly sliced
    1 white onion, chopped
    1 bunch red or green scallions, chopped
    1 cup Chanterelle mushrooms or mushrooms of your liking, brushed and trimmed
    2 tablespoon fresh minced thyme leaf
    1 - 3 teaspoons dried Italian herb blend (to taste)
    cayenne pepper to taste
    3/4 cup Southern Comfort
    salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe



    Rinse the chicken breasts and split each breast into 2 pieces for a total of 6 breast halves. Marinate in a mixture of soy sauce, vegetable oil and garlic.
    Grill chicken and chicken sausages over medium heat coals until just cooked. Cool. Chop into large bite sized pieces.
    Place olive oil in a large heavy non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté shaved garlic, onions and scallions for about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms, herbs, pepper and cooked chicken. Cook until hot.
    Pour Southern Comfort over pan. Simmer 1 or 2 minutes and serve hot.
    Serves 6 to 8 over rice
