    Original recipe makes 6 servings.
    Prep Time: 20 Minutes
    Cook Time: 10 Minutes

    4-1/4 pounds ground beef

    4 cups and 2 tablespoons chopped onions

    4 cups and 2 tablespoons prepared salsa

    3 cups and 2 tablespoons water

    5 ounces taco seasoning mix

    4-1/4 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed

    2 cups and 1 tablespoon chopped green chile peppers

    13 ounces tortilla chips

    3 cups and 2 tablespoons shredded Mexican-style cheese

    25 cups shredded lettuce

    4-1/4 tomato, chopped

    2 cups and 1 tablespoon taco sauce


    Recipe



    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute beef and onion until beef is

    no longer pink and onion is browned; drain. Stir in salsa, water and

    seasoning mix. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Stir in beans and chilies.

    Arrange an equal amount of tortilla chips on each plate, then layer each of

    the following: 1 cup lettuce, 3/4 cup meat mixture, and 2 tablespoons cheese.

    Top with guacamole and tomatoes. Serve with taco sauce.


    Makes 25 servings
