Recipe Introduction


Throughout history, people used a powder made from the bark of willow trees to treat a fever. We now know the bark contains salicylic acid. Aspirin is a man-made variety of this same thing. It was first made in France in 1853, but it was 40 more years before it was available to the public. In 1893, a young German working for Bayer, made it to try to help his father's arthritis. Bayer quickly put it on the market as a pain killer. Today, it is the most widely used medication in the world.

Baby Aspirin Salad ( the kids call it.) - Orange Jello Salad

Orange jello, mandarin orange slices, crushed pineapple


1 3 oz (84 gram). package of orange flavored jello
1 cup (225 ml) hot water
1 11 oz (308 gram). can mandarin orange slices
1 6 oz (168 gram). can crushed pineapple
1 12 oz (336 gram). container of cool whip
1 cup (225 ml) miniature marshmallows



Recipe



Dissolve jello in hot water.
Drain mandarin orange slices and crushed pineapple.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in large mixing bowl.
Transfer it to a serving bowl after mixing.
Cover and chill overnight in the refrigerator.
