Taco Salad
Corn Flour Tortillas or Flour Tortillas (Authentic Mexican Tortillas)
lettuce, shredded
cooked ground beef, seasoned with taco seasoning
Cheddar cheese, shredded
onion, chopped
taco sauce or salsa
ripe olives, sliced
tomatoes, sliced and finely chopped
sour cream
Recipe
Prepare Corn Flour Tortillas or Flour Tortillas (Authentic Mexican Tortillas). Place an oven-proof bowl on a cookie sheet and drape a tortilla over the bowl. Bake Tortilla shells at 375 degrees F. for approximately 15 minutes or until tortilla turns a light golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool. Remove tortilla from bowl.
Place shredded lettuce in bowl-shaped tortilla shell. Place seasoned ground beef on top of lettuce. Put shredded Cheddar cheese on top of gound beef. Put chopped onion on top of Cheddar cheese. Pour desired amount of taco sauce or salsa on top of the Cheddar cheese. Place sliced ripe olives and tomatoes on top of the taco sauce or salsa. Top with sour cream.
