    List of Ingredients

    1 can tomato paste (12-oz.)
1 can chopped tomatoes and green chili peppers (10-oz.)
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    1/2 cup mild-flavored molasses
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup finely chopped onion
    1/4 cup water
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1-1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1-1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
    1/2 teaspoon celery seed
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce

    Recipe

In a medium saucepan, stir together tomato paste, tomatoes and chili peppers, cider vinegar, molasses, brown sugar, chopped onion, water, garlic, chili powder, pepper, paprika, salt (if using), celery seed, dry mustard and bottled hot pepper sauce.
Bring the mixture just to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer mixture for 10 to 15 minutes or until the flavors are blended, stirring occasionally.

Brush sauce over steaks, ribs, burgers, or chicken during the last 5 minutes of grilling time.
Store any leftover sauce in the refrigerator up to 1 month.

    Makes about 4 cups
