    Cherry-Coconut Bars

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup margerine
    3 tablespoon confectioner's sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 c. quartered marachino cherries
    1/4 c flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 cup chopped nuts
    1/2 cup coconut

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

    With hands, mix 1 cup flour, margerine, and confectioner's sugar until smooth. Spread thin with fingers in ungreased 8 x 8 pan. Bake about 25 minutes.

    Stir rest of ingrediants into eggs. Spread over top of baked pastry (no need to cool). Bake about 25 minutes.

    Cool. Cut into bars.

    I have doubled this recipe and baked in 13 x 9 pan. Works well.
