    List of Ingredients

    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
    1 cup buttermilk

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Cut in butter with a pastry blender.

Add buttermilk all at once and stir with a fork until mixture leaves sides of bowl and clumps together to form a soft, moist dough.

On a lightly floured surface, toss dough lightly until no longer sticky. Knead 5 or 6 times.

Roll out to 1/2" thickness. Cut with a 3" biscuit cutter.

Place on an ungreased or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Re-roll scraps and cut more biscuits.

Bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until light golden. Serve warm or at room temperature.

    Makes 12 biscuits.
