    Mashed Potatoes with Onion & Garlic

    List of Ingredients




    4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
    2 tsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 large garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 cup milk, warmed lightly in microwave
    2 Tbsp. butter (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper

    Recipe



    Place potatoes in a pot of water and boil until tender.

    Once potatoes start to boil, heat 2 tsp. of butter and water in a small pan over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook until tender; add garlic and cook one minute more or until you can start to smell the garlic. Stirring frequently. Set aside if potatoes are not yet done.

    Drain potatoes and return to burner to dry slightly. Mash potatoes.

    Gradually stir in milk, a little at a time, until you reach desired consistency.

    Stir in onion mixture, salt, pepper and additional butter if desired.

    Makes 3 servings.
