    Recipe Introduction

This recipie orginally came from recipiezarr.com, but I have modified it to taste a little better.

    List of Ingredients

    • 28 oz. can whole tomatoes--drained
    • 3 jalapeno peppers
    • 3 garlic cloves
    • 1 onion
    • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves (small handful of dried)
    • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (small handful of dried)
    • Juice of 2 limes
    • 2 teaspoons celtic sea salt
    • 1 Tablespoon ground cumin
    • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
    • 1 whole pepper (red, green, or yellow), seeded
    • 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Place tomatoes in food processor and chop into small pieces. Place into a bowl.
    2. Place jalapenos, garlic, onion, cilantro, basil, lime juice, salt, cumin, and chili powder in food processor and chop until very fine. Put in bowl with tomatoes.
    3. Place pepper in the processor and chop fine. Put into tomato mixture.
    4. Mix in one can of tomato paste (omit this if you like a thinner salsa).
    5. Allow to sit for a couple of hours to allow the flavors to develop.
