    Killer Baked Beans

    Source of Recipe

adaption from recipe tried on recipezaar.com #31482

    Recipe Introduction

The first time we tried this, Nick's Dad came to stay for the 2009 deer season. Needless to say it warmed bellies and he had to have the recipe before he left. Everyone gave it five stars! The original recipe calls for more brown sugar but we have adapted it because Nick does not care for "sweet" baked beans. You may change this to your own preferences.

    List of Ingredients

4 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained
    2 cans tomato soup
    1 lb ground beef
    1 lb bacon
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 cup brown sugar

    Recipe

Use a pair of scissors to cut pack of bacon into fry pan into desired size of pieces. Fry bacon. Remove from pan and set aside. In the bacon grease, cook ground beef and onions until beef is no longer pink. Mix all the ingredients together, stir well. Pour in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour.

(NOTE: The first time we made this we used 1 can of black beans instead of a can of pork and beans because that is what we had. It was still excellent. You can use either all baked beans, all butter beans, or a combination).
