    Baked Overnight French Toast

    Old stale bread works even better....

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cupt butter, room temperature
    French Bread (3/4 inch), approximately 9 slices or as many as you can scrunch to lay flat on the bottom of 9x11 pan
    4 eggs
    1 cup milk
    2 tablespoons syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Recipe



    1.) Spread butter over bottom of a heavy 9x11 pan with at least 1 inch sides.
    2.) Arrange bread slices in pan.
    3.) IN large bowl beat eggs, milk, syrup, vanilla, and salt to blend.
    4.) Pour mixture over bread.
    5.) Turn bread slices to coat.
    6.) Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least a few hours or overnight.
    7.) When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    8.)Remove cover and bake for 10 min. and then turn and cook about 4 minutes longer until golden brown.
    9.) Serve as desired.
