    2 sticks butter or margarine
    1-1/8 cup sugar
    1-1/8 cup brown sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    dash salt
    1-2/3 cup oatmeal

    Preheat oven to 350° F.

Cream butter and sugars and eggs in mixing bowl. Add peanut butter, vanilla and flour. Blend well, add the soda, salt and the oatmeal.

Spread in a 15x10 pan,(cookie sheet) and bake for 20 min. at 350.

    Frosting for Bars

    2 cups powdered sugar
    2 TBLS. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 TBLS. peanut butter
    4 TBLS. butter or marg.

Blend together, may need to add a little more milk. Frost when bars are cooled.

Note: You may want to add chocolate to these bars, if so just sprinkle about a cup of chips onto bars about 2 minutes after taking them out of the oven, wait a couple of min. and spread the chips. Wait until set or refrigerate before frosting.
