    Recipe Introduction


    This is best served warm with vanilla ice cream on the side.


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup flour
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
    • 1/4 teas. salt
    • 1 stick cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch cubes.
    • 2 lbs. berries, or peaches and plums.


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 425
    2. Pulse flour, sugar, nuts and salt in a food processor.
    3. Add butter and pulse until mixture begins to clump.
    4. Spread fruit in a 9 /12 inch deep dish pie plate and sprinkle topping on top.
    5. Bake 25-30 minutes.


    Final Comments


    If using berries, I sometimes toss them with a little bit of sugar before putting in the dish.
