    Recipe Introduction

(taken from a Taste of Home Country Cooking recipe booklet YEARS ago)

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 28-oz jar spaghetti sauce
    • 1 25 oz package frozen cheese ravioli, cooked and drained
    • 2 cups small curd cottage cheese
    • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

    Instructions

    1. Spread 1/2 cup of sauce in a 13X9 inch baking dish.
Layer with half the ravioli, 1 1/4 cups sauce, 1 cup
cottage cheese and 2 cups mozzarella. Repeat layers.
Sprinkle with parmesan. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30
to 40 minutes or until bubbly. 6 to 8 servings.
    2. This is one big recipe! I've cut back the cottage
cheese to 1 cup, and the mozzarella to 2 cups. That
cut the fat waaaay back. I also use a huge can of beef
or cheese ravioli in sauce. Just leave out the
spaghetti sauce, or put a little in for taste. To make
it more healthy, I chop a whole onion, a whole green
pepper, and a clove of garlic. I then saute them in a
little bit of butter (no substitutes!) with some
pepper and salt free seasoning (just a little!). I
layer on some ravioli and the cheese, then the pepper
and onion mixture. I've even used other veggies, like
grated zucchini in the summer. This dish is wonderful
on cold nights with a light salad and some toasted
french bread. It's even good cold for lunch the next
day! Hope you all enjoy this dish like I have for
      years :)
