Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1-1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 2 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. coarsely chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 T. grated orange peel
- 1 package (12 oz.) vanilla chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture. Stir in oats, raisins, cranberries and orange peel. Stir in vanilla chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
