Twinkie or Susy-Q Cake
A very special cake -- but you need to wait the 2 days before you eat it!! I have made the Susy-Q cake for years, for special occasions, and we all love it!
Twinkie Cake:
Bake a yellow or chocolate cake in a 9 x 13 pan. Mix 5 Tbsp. flour and 1
cup of milk in a suacepan.Boil until thick, stirring constantly. Set aside
to cool.
In large mixing bowl mix:
1 Cup sugar
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat with electric mixer until fluffy. Add cooled milk mixture and beat
till fluffy. Cut cooled cake lenthwise.Put all the filling between the 2
layers. Put into refrigerater in tupperware and leave for at least 2 days
before eating.
