Salisbury Steak
1 lb hamburger
1/2 C. minced onion
1/4 C. cooked rice
dash pepper
1 egg
1 C. sliced mushrooms
2 C. beef broth
1 TB worcestershire sauce
1/4 ts salt
1 TB cornstarch
2 TB water
combine meat, onions, rice, pepper and egg. Divide into 3 portions. Brown on both sides. Transfer to plate and keep warm. Saute mushrooms over mediium heat 5 minutes. Add broth, worcestershire and salt. Cook 10 minutes. Return patties to sauce. Cover reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Combine corn starch and water. Mix into broth. Bring to boil. Cook 1 minute
