    Wilted Lettuce Salad

    A Favorite Side Dish for Sunday Dinner


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Head of Lettuce
    • 1 Package of Bacon
    • 2 Tablespoons of Sugar
    • 2 Tablespoons of Vinegar
    • 1 Bunch of Shallots


    Instructions


    1. Shred lettuce and put in bowl.
    2. Slice Shallots and add to lettuce.
    3. Fry bacon until crispy. Reserve about 3 tablespoons of the bacon dripping for dressing.
    4. Add vinegar and sugar to bacon drippings. Bring to a boil.
    5. Pour dressing over lettuce and shallots.
    6. Crush bacon over salad.
    7. Serve!


    Final Comments


    Don't set this on the table before dinner is ready. If you do, you may find the bacon gone when it is time to eat!!
