    Recipe Introduction

An Indian recipe for a delightful spinach and potato bhajee. Try as an alternative to onion bhajees, they're delicious

    List of Ingredients

    6 oz gram flour (besan)
    2 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp turmeric (ground)
    1 tsp salt
    1 fresh chilli finely chopped
    3 tbsp yoghurt
    4 tbsp water
1 small medium potato very finely diced (2mm square)
1 medium onion very finely chopped
    6 oz spinach chopped
2 tbsp chopped fresh corriander leaves

    Recipe

Combine well the spinach, onion, potato and corriander.

Mix the remaining ingredients well to make a fairly thick batter.

Add the spinach mixture to the batter and mix well.

Heat oil in a chip fryer to chip frying temperature and drop golf ball size dollops of batter in (don't over croud). Cook for about 5 minutes until nicely browned and cooked through.

    Repeat with the remaining batter.

    Enjoy
