Recipe Introduction
This is a staple in my house. I eat it several times a week. Definately a great side dish and a good way of getting in a serving of veggies!
List of Ingredients
8 cup cabbage, all varieties
1/4 cup carrot(s)
2 Tbsp onion(s)
1/4 cup McNeil Nutritionals SPLENDA (R) No Calorie Sweetener
1/2 tsp table salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup fat-free skim milk
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice, canned or bottled
Recipe
Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very fine pieces(about the size of rice). This is easier if you use a food processor.
Combine the splenda, salt, pepper, milk, mayo, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until smooth.
Add the cabbage, carrots and onion. Mix well .
Cover and regridgerate for at least 2 hours before serving
