List of Ingredients



• 1 c. sugar
  
• 1 c. water
  
• 1 c. raisins
  
• 1/2 c. shortening
  
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
  
• 1 tsp. allspice
  
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  
• 1/2 tsp. salt
  
• 2 c. flour
  
• 1 tsp. soda
  
• 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  
• TOPPING
  
• 1/3 c. oleo
  
• 2/3 c. brown sugar
  
• 3 Tbsp. cream
  
• 1 c. coconut
  






Instructions



1. Mix sugar, water, raisins, shortening, spices, and salt.
   
   
2. Boil for 1 minute.
   
   
3. Cool slightly.
   
   
4. Add flour, soda, and nuts.
   
   
5. Bake 20 minutes at 350 in two (8-inch) square , greased pans.
   
   
6. Combine oleo, brown sugar, cream and coconut.
   
   
7. Place under broiler until coconut is brown, about 5 minutes.
