    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 c. flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    • 1-2 c. cooked prunes
    • pinch of salt
    • 1 c. soft oleo
    • 1 3/4 c. sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    • GLAZE
    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 1/3 c. oleo
    • 1/2 c. buttermilk
    • 1 tsp. vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix flour, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    2. In another bowl mix oleo and sugar.
    3. Beat and add 2 eggs to the oleo mixture.
    4. Add 1 1/4 c. buttermilk.
    5. Add to dry ingredients and beat.
    6. Stir in prunes.
    7. Bake at 325 until firm in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan about 1 hour.
    8. Make glaze by combining sugar, buttermilk and oleo.
    9. Cook this 2 minutes.
    10. Add vanilla.
    11. Pour over cake.
