    • 1 cup cornmeal
    • 1 cup flour
    • 4 tsps baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 4 T sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 4 T vegetable oil
    • 1 cup milk
    • 4 tsp minced fresh sage
    • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter an 8" square baking dish.
    2. In medium bowl, stir together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    3. In small bowl, lightly beat eggs then stir in oil, milk, sage, and parsley.
    4. Stir the milk mixture into the cornmeal mixture and stir just until combined. Scrape the batter into pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
