    AllYou 10/04

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 cans crushed pineapple, with liquid (20 oz each)*

    • 1/2 cup butter, cut up
    • 2 cups pecans, toasted
    • ice cream or whipped topping

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    2. Drain 1 can crushed pineapple; spread pineapple from both cans, with juice from only one can, on the bottom of the baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix over fruit. Add (evenly over mix) small dollops of butter, then sprinkle with pecans.
    3. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.

*Use any fruit. A simple 3-step dessert, like this tropical cake, can be made with almost any canned fruit or flavor of cake mix. So create your own special version with apples, blueberries or cherries, and add your favorite choice of nuts.
