    Recipe Introduction


    Luscious cream cheese frosting tops a moist cake.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 tsps baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 2 T butter
    • 2 eggs, well beaten
    • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple
    • FROSTING:
    • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup butter, softened
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/4 tsp lemon extract
    • 2 cups confectioners' sugar


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.
    2. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
    3. Mix in butter.
    4. Add eggs and pineapple; mix well.
    5. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 35 to 45 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
    6. To make frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla and lemon extract, gradually adding the confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate leftover cake.
