    List of Ingredients


    • COOKIES:
    • 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup almond-flavored liqueur
    • 3 cups old-fashioned or quick (but not instant) oats
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • FROSTING:
    • 12 oz chocolate chips
    • 2 T shortening


    Instructions


    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    2. For the cookies, mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in the liqueur. Add the oats and fluor and mix well. Refrigerate 10 minutes.
    3. Shape the dough into balls and arrange on an ungreased baking sheet. Press into circles with the bottom a glass (it helps to flour the bottom of the glass each time you press). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool.
    4. For the frosting, combine the chocolate chips and shortening in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave, stirring occasionally, until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
    5. Spread the chocolate on the back side of one cookie and top with another.
