    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (1 pound, 1.5 ounce) package dry sugar cookie mix (recommended: Betty Crocker)
    • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into pieces
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 teaspoons cherry extract
    • 12 red or green candied cherries, halved


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. In the bowl of an electric mixer combine, the sugar cookie dough, cream cheese, eggs, and extract.
    3. Fit a cookie press or resealable plastic bag with a star template or 3/4-inch star tip. Pipe dough in 2 1/2-inch lines, 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. Press a cherry half at the base of each shell. Bake for 12 minutes, until brown on bottom and raw look is gone from tops.
