    Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

    • 2 C. unsalted butter, at room temperature
    • 1 1/2 C. sugar
    • 4 C. flour
    • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Ghirardelli Semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 tsp. salt


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F. Coat cookie sheets with cooking spray.
    2. Cream together butter, sugar, and salt until creamy in large bowl with wooden spoon. Stir in flour. For
      chocolate cookies: melt 1/2 C. chocolate chips and add to dough. Add 1 C. chocolate chips to either plain or chocolate dough. Roll dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface then cut into desired shape and place on cookie sheet.
    3. Bake for about 20-25 minutes.
