- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 12 oz (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugars, maple syrup, and egg. Add the dry ingredients, then mix until blended. Stir in the nuts and chocolate chips.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing well apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown. Cool for a few minutes on the sheets, then remove cookies to a cooling rack.
