    List of Ingredients


    • 1 box (1 lb) confectioners' sugar
    • 3 T egg white powder
    • 6 T water
    • paste food coloring


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium-high speed, beat the sugar, egg white powder, and water until thick and fluffy about 4 minutes.
    2. To make outlines on cookies use a pastry bag fitted with a small plain tip.

    3. To ice entire cookie, fill a resealable plastic bag with some icing. Snip a small corner from the bag and pipe an outline of the cookie around the edge. Thin the remaining icing with water until it is easily spreadable. With a long metal spatula, cover the cookies with icing. Allow to dry thoroughly, preferably overnight.
    4. To paint cookies, thin the icing with water. Dip cookie cutters into icing and lightly imprint cookies for an outline to use. With a paint brush, fill in the outlines with icing. Allow the icing to dry, about 1 hour.
