- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 T water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 cups flour
Instructions
- Cream the sugar and butter. Add the eggs, alternately, beating after each addition. Add the water and vanilla.
- Sift the dry ingredients together and mix into creamed mixture. Cover and chill 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out the chilled dough to a thickness of slightly less than 1/4". Use a 2" biscuit cutter or a glass to make cookies. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
