- 1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon water
- 6 ounces semisweet mini chocolate chips
- 6 ounces butterscotch chips
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted (about 3 ounces)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, and water.
- At low speed, beat in flour mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and nuts.
- Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto 2 ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake cookies until golden, 7 minutes. Transfer baking sheets to wire racks to cool slightly. Transfer cookies to racks to cool completely.
