List of Ingredients
- 4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cup water
- 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 3 small potatoes, quartered
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 stalk celery
Instructions
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over roast. In a large skillet over high heat brown meat on all sides 1 to 2 minutes per side.
- Place prepared meat and remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours.
Final Comments
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
* for next day open faced sandwiches, discard excess fat and bone, shred meat heat and serve on toasted garlic bread.
