    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb (about 2 links) Mild Italian Sausage, casings removed
    • 1 lb 90% Lean Ground Beef
    • 2 bags (8 oz each) Cleaned & Cut Chopped Onions
    • 1 bag (8 oz) Diced Green Peppers
    • 1 Tbsp salt
    • 1/4 cup dried basil
    • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
    • 4 Tbsp minced Garlic
    • 1 can (28 oz) Italian Classics Whole Roma Tomatoes with Garlic and Basil
    • 2 cans (8 oz each) Tomato Sauce
    • 1 can (12 oz) Tomato Paste
    • Pepper to taste
    • Sugar to taste


    Instructions


    1. Brown sausage and beef in large non-stick skillet over MEDIUM heat. Break up sausage and beef with wooden spoon as they brown. Drain well.

    2. Add meat to slow cooker; mix in herbs, tomatoes, sauce, and paste. Stir well. Cook 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and sugar.
