Barbequed Beef Brisket

- 3-4 lb. beef brisket, trimmed
- Onion salt
- Garlic salt
- Seasoning salt
- 2 oz. liquid smoke
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- Barbeque Sauce:
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
- Dash hot sauce
- 2 tbsp. sugar
Instructions
- Place a beef brisket on large piece of heavy duty aluminum foil in large roasting pan. Sprinkle generously with the three kinds of salt. Pour liquid smoke over meat. Tighten foil over brisket. Be sure no air gets to the meat. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes per pound.
- Take out of oven and turn sides of foil back, remove all juices except for 1 cup. Pour lemon juice over meat.
- Combine ingredients for barbeque sauce and heat in saucepan until pouring consistency. Add barbeque sauce over meat and cook uncovered for an additional 45 minutes. To serve, cut brisket in 1/4” – 1/2” slices against the grain.
