    Burgundy Beef Pasta


    List of Ingredients


    • 8 oz linguine
    • 1 lb top sirloin, very thinly sliced crosswise
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 4 oz mushrooms, sliced
    • 14 1/2 oz no-salt-added diced tomatoes
    • 8 oz no-salt-added tomato sauce
    • 3/4 cup dry red wine


    Instructions


    1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
    2. In skillet, over medium high heat, saute meat, garlic and thyme in oil 3 minutes. Add mushrooms; cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and wine. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    3. Serve over pasta. Optionally garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
