    "Tipsy" Pasta Sauce

    Recipe Introduction


    Serve with crusty, hot garlic bread to sop up sauce.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 T basil, dried (rubbed between hands)
    • 5 1/2 cans of beer
    • 2 T garlic powder
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 2 medium onions, chopped
    • 2 T oregano, dried (rubbed between hands)
    • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 T red pepper flakes
    • 1 lb sausage, hot italian
    • 5 (12 oz) cans tomato paste
    • 1 cup dry red wine


    Instructions


    1. Saute peppers and onions in olive oiluntil almost tender.
    2. Add sausage and beef to peppers and onions and brown.
    3. Add remaining ingredients to meat mixture and stir until well blended. Cover and simmer for 5-6 hours.
