    Grilled Steak Caesar Salad

    Beefy, cheesy and easy--a true Caesar pleaser!


    List of Ingredients


    • Classic Caesar Dressing (See Below)
    • 1 pound beef boneless top sirloin steak, 1 inch thick
    • 1 tablespoon freshly ground pepper
    • 1 bunch romaine, torn into bite-size pieces
    • 1 cup garlic-flavored croutons
    • 1/2 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
    2. Make Classic Caesar Dressing. Sprinkle beef with pepper.
    3. Cover and grill beef 4 to 5 inches from medium heat 15 to 18 minutes for medium doneness (160°F), turning once. Cut beef across grain into thin slices.
    4. Toss romaine, croutons, cheese and dressing. Top with beef slices. Serve with additional shredded Parmesan cheese if desired.


    Final Comments


    Makes 4 servings

    Classic Caesar Dressing

    1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
    1/4 cup fat-free cholesterol-free egg product
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    1 teaspoon anchovy paste
    1 large garlic clove, finely chopped

    Shake all ingredients in tightly covered container.
