    Vinaigrette Dressing (lowfat)


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 T plain nonfat yogurt
    • 2 T balsamic vinegar
    • 4 T canola oil
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/8 tsp freshly gorund black pepper


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients in small bowl and whisk until thoroughly blended.
    2. Cover and refrigerate.
    3. For each variation below, add listed ingredients to above recipe.


    Final Comments


    DIJON VINAIGRETTE DRESSING: 1 T Dijon mustard, 1 tsp water
    GARLIC VINAIGRETT DRESSING: 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt-free lemon pepper seasoning, 2 T chopped fresh parsley (omit pepper in basic recipe)
    GREEN ONION VINAIGRETTE DRESSING: 2 T finely chopped green onion
    ITALIAN HERB VINAIGRETTE: Each of the following fresh herbs, finely chopped: 1 T basil, 1/2 T rosemary and 1 T thyme

    VINAIGRETTE, GARLIC, GREEN ONION, AND ITALIAN HERB: 63 calores & 7 gm fat per 1 T
    DIJON VINAIGRETTE: 64 calories & 7 gm fat per 1 T
