    Chicken Caesar Sandwich

    Source of Recipe

    Homemade In Half The Time

    Recipe Introduction

The salad that's taken the country by storm is every bit as good (perhaps better) when captured between two layers of rustic bread.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 loaf (1 lb) pain rustique or ciabatta bread
    • 1 cup bottled Caesar salad dressing
    • 1 rotisserie chicken breast, removed from the bone, sliced or 1 lb sliced roasted chicken breast
    • 3 cups bagged hearts of romaine
    • 1/4 cup preshredded Parmesan cheese
    • ground black pepper (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Split the bread in half lengthwise. Spread the dressing over both cuts sides. Pile the chicken on half of the loaf. Top with the romaine and the cheese. Season to taste with pepper, if desired. Top with the top half of the bread.
    2. With a serrated knife, cut diagonally into 6 portions.
