    Heart Healthy Turkey Black Bean Chili

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs ground turkey
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 1/2 cup red onion
    • 1/4 cup red bell pepper
    • 1/4 cup yellow bell pepper
    • 1/4 cup carrot, chopped
    • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
    • 2 cups cooked black beans, drained & rinsed if canned
    • 2 T cilantro, chopped
    • 2 T fresh lime juice


    Instructions


    1. Saute ground turkey in skillet with olive oil until browned.
    2. Add remaining vegetables. Cook, mixture, stirring often until vegetables are softened.
    3. Stir in cooked black beans,cilantro, and lime juice. Cook until heated through. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    4. Garnish: Chopped tomatoes, non-fat sour cream and cilantro sprig
