ITALIAN SAUSAGE CHILI

- 1 Lb. Hot Italian Sausage
- 1 small Onion, minced
- 1 T. Chili powder
- 2 16 oz Cans Black beans
- 112 oz. Can or Bottled light beer
- 1 Jar tomato sauce with peppers & onions
- 1 4oz, can chopped mild green chilies
- ¼ t. dried Oregano Leaves
- 1 oz+ Container Sour Cream
- 3 oz (3/4 cup) Monterey 3ack or Cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Remove sausage from casing. Cook sausage, onion, and chili powder stirring to break up sausage, until sausage is browned and onion is tender.
- Add beans with liquid, beer, sauce, chilies, and oregano leaves. Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat to low, simmer 15 min, stirring occasionally.
- To serve, spoon chili into 6 bowls. Spoon sour cream over chili. Sprinkle with cheese.
